Howdy cowboys and cowgirls! I just wanted to write a blog post to get my thoughts out (hopefully coherently) and to give an update to those who it may pertain to/who may care.

First things first, I am working on a "redesign" for Marcymoo. "Redesign" is in quotes, since it isn't going to be overly drastic or anything like that. For those who have known me even before this page was developed, you may have noticed how often her hair color/length/shape changed ~2018-2021. That's mainly in correspondence to my current hair situation since she is technically still a persona. Just like IRL, her hair is going to be permanently pink/blue, and I hope to set a permanent set length for it as well.

The "newer" aspects of her design will be her full transition into a teacup miniature Highland Cow! WHOOO! I've always wanted her to be one, since Highland cows, in general, are my favorite breed, but I wasn't quite sure how to flesh out that design while still making her recognizably a cow. My lovely wife Levi gave me the idea for her new leg design, and it's grown from there! I hope to have the design colored and posted soon, but with my track record and work, I cannot say for certain. The main big changes for her will be her ear colorization (she is losing the spots on her ears, in exchange for a more realistic Highland fur pattern), added neck fluff and "leg warmers", and most likely her horn/hoof color (I have already been playing around with those colors in the last few posted pieces, but I am trying to decide on something more concrete). Her collar is going to be removed, sadly, in place of the neck fur, but I will be moving that to my actual persona stand-in for vent art since the collar is a very meaningful piece to me. I hope you all love her new design as much as I do!

The next thing on the agenda is less exciting for most, but I have finally taken the steps to finally remove myself as much as possible from other social media platforms. I still have my FB active, but that's only due to needing an account for certain mobile games. Unfortunately, my Twitter account is also still technically live, since the platform does not have a permanent deactivation option, just a 30-day-then-permanently-delete option. Everything in my body craves just deleting my page on there outright, but I still have certain obligations to do before I can. For the past few months/possibly a year, I have only been using it to advertise art that I've posted here, for my followers that do not follow my NG account. I will be continuing to do that, until the day when I can officially delete the page. For those who have followed me starting from NG, this may seem inconsequential and random for me to mention, which is fair! This paragraph is mostly for those who have migrated from FB to here. And if you are one of those people, HOWDY!!! Thank you for making your way to my page and supporting me! I love y'all!

Finally, I am so terribly sorry for my posting schedule. These past few years (2021-2023) have been absolutely devastating to my mental and physical health. I have had multiple deaths in the family this year alone, which has not given me any motivation to draw or create. If you have noticed a higher influx of "vent" pieces, it's because they have honestly been some of the only things keeping me tethered. Last week, I realized that there were actually quite a few pieces that I never posted, of all varieties. I don't feel the need to post my backlog, though, since my art style and shading practices have already changed drastically from earlier this year. I am striving to post more frequently from now on when I do complete a piece. I want to actively draw more often again since it does make me happy. My WIP folder is overflowing, and sadly I know I will not be completely really any of those pieces. But with the redesign of Marcymoo, I hope to start fresh. I cannot promise that my posting will be consistent since I do have a job and obligations outside of art, but I will be doing my best to stay active on here more often.

For those who have read up to this point, thank you. I know I am not out here drawing Picasso or reinventing the wheel. My art journey has been long, and painful. It's had its ups and downs, but I am still here. And the fact that you are willing to read through this little blurb on a page so small, means the world to me. I don't want to be famous or well-known for my art, and I know that won't happen. But even the small outpouring of love and support from you guys really helps me get through my day. I truly do appreciate you all, and I hope to get to support you all as well.
